D. Jonavičienės teigimu, nuo šių metų vasario 1 d. Telšių rajono savivaldybės taryba sprendimu Nr. T1-20 patvirtino Mokesčio už vaikų išlaikymą savivaldybės ugdymo įstaigose, įgyvendinančiose ikimokyklinio ir priešmokyklinio ugdymo programas, tvarkos aprašą, pagal kurį mokestis už vaikų maitinimą išlieka nepakitęs. „Savivaldybė ir toliau dotuoja už vaikų maitinimą po 1 Lt. Tik tėveliams papildomai reikės mokėti įstaigos aplinkos ar ugdymo reikmėms skirtą mokestį (po 0,50 Lt), skaičiuojant už darbo dienas, nepriklausomai nuo vaikų lankytų dienų skaičiaus, išskyrus vasaros laikotarpį. Surinktos lėšos bus panaudotos įstaigos ugdymo reikmėms įsigyti“, – tėvų nuogąstavimus patvirtino Švietimo skyriaus vyr. specialistė.
Pagal ankstesnę tvarką, tėveliai mokinių atostogų metu galėjo nevesti ir ikimokyklinio amžiaus vaikų į darželį ir už tai jiems nereikėjo mokėti. Naujojoje tvarkoje, pasak D. Jonavičienės, šita lengvata panaikinta, nes būtent mokinių atostogų metu ikimokyklines įstaigas lankydavo labai mažai vaikų.
„Ikimokyklinėse įstaigose mažieji ne tik globojami – vyksta ugdymo procesas. Todėl tėveliai, jeigu jau nusprendė vaiką leisti į ikimokyklinę įstaigą, pageidautina, kad jis ir lankytų, juo labiau kad dar yra nepatenkinta apie 180 tėvų prašymų. Be abejo, pagerėjus ekonominei situacijai, tėveliams bus siūloma lankstesnių ikimokyklinio ugdymo organizavimo formų: pusės darbo dienos, keleto valandų per dieną ir t. t.“, – kalbėjo D. Jonavičienė.
Tėvai teiraujasi, kur bus panaudotos surinktos lėšos.

Priimant naująją tvarką, D. Jonavičienės žodžiais, buvo diskutuojama su ikimokyklinių įstaigų vadovais, o šie naujosios tvarkos projektą aptarė savo bendruomenėse.
